Accessibility
Schools serve everyone. So must we.
CommPartHS products are used by students, families, and staff with a wide range of abilities, devices, and connection speeds. We design toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across the platform, the family app surfaces, and the student app surfaces.
What that looks like in practice:
- Mobile-first layouts that work on the phones families actually carry, not just office desktops
- Readable color contrast, scalable text, and touch targets sized for real hands
- Semantic structure and labels so screen readers can navigate forms and tables
- Keyboard-reachable interactions on staff-facing screens
- Plain-language content over jargon wherever a family will read it
We are honest about the state of this work: accessibility is a practice, not a certificate, and parts of the platform are further along than others. We review new surfaces as we build them and fix shortfalls as they are found.
If you or someone in your community hits a barrier using a CommPartHS product, tell us. Reports go to the front of the line.
